Ecru: A beige color somewhat similar to that of a manilla folder. This color is a warm creamy beige.

Emerald cut: A usually rectangular cut of jewel.
Empire Waistline: A waistline that starts just below the bust. An empire waistline can run straight across or curve down the sides to hit the small of the back.
En croute: Encrusted in puff pastry.
Engagement: Bind by promise to get married.
Engraving: The most formal of printing methods for invitations, through which the letters appear slightly raised.
Envelope Liner: The glossy coating on the inside of envelope flap. A liner is typically used to improve paper weight, add color complimenting the ink color and add formality to the invitation. It most often is applied to the inside of the invitation's inner envelope, but may be on the outer envelope if invitation only has one envelope.
Euro Tie: A long tie that is more formal than a regular necktie.
Extended train: Also known as a Royal train, it extends more than 4 feet behind the gown.
Extended Cathedral Train: Extends 12 feet or more from the waist. Also known as a monarch train.
